Duties
- Prepare treatment areas with necessary instruments, materials, and supplies for various dental procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry
- Assist dentists chairside during treatments such as X-ray imaging, medical imaging, and dental procedures using aseptic technique and infection control protocols
- Take and develop X-rays, including 3D scans when applicable, ensuring high-quality medical imaging for accurate diagnoses
- Manage patient records using EMR systems like Dentrix or Eaglesoft while maintaining HIPAA compliance to protect patient confidentiality
- Support the dental receptionist by scheduling appointments, updating medical records, and managing patient flow efficiently
- Measure vital signs such as blood pressure and pulse to monitor patient health before procedures
- Maintain a clean and sterile environment following infection control standards and knowledge of anatomy to ensure safety for patients and staff
Requirements
- Proven experience in dental assisting within a dental clinic environment with knowledge of dental terminology and medical documentation practices
- Familiarity with EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, Epic or similar electronic health record platforms preferred
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and data security
- Ability to perform chairside assisting with proficiency in four-handed dentistry techniques
- Skilled in taking X-rays, including digital imaging and 3D scanning technologies
- Strong understanding of anatomy, infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and medical terminology
- Experience working with pediatric patients and knowledge of pediatric dentistry best practices is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members including dental receptionists and other healthcare professionals

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
