Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Grounds Crew Members to maintain and enhance our golf course and landscapes across the property. This role involves hands-on work in that is fulfilling and rewarding . The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work, possess mechanical knowledge, and be comfortable operating various tools and equipment to ensure the safety and aesthetic appeal of the golf course.
Duties
- Perform lawn care tasks including mowing, edging, and trimming using power tools and hand tools
- Mowing of all golf course playing surfaces and maintaining bunkers
- Conduct landscape maintenance such as planting, pruning, tree trimming, and gardening
- Operate heavy machinery including excavators and snow plowing equipment for seasonal needs
- Maintain irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and system functionality
- Assist with hardscape projects involving construction of pathways, patios, or retaining walls
- Use landscaping tools to install or repair features like garden beds or walkways
- Conduct routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal operation and safety
Experience
- Prior experience in lawn care, landscape maintenance, or related outdoor work preferred
- Mechanical knowledge related to power tools, hand tools, and landscaping equipment is advantageous
- Familiarity with irrigation systems, horticulture practices, and snow plowing operations is a plus
- Experience with excavation machinery such as excavators or other construction equipment is beneficial
- Knowledge of tree care techniques including trimming and removal enhances job performance
- Ability to operate landscaping machinery safely and efficiently is essential
- Strong understanding of landscape design principles and horticulture practices is desirable
