Boujee Beauty Aesthetics & Wellness is a growing mobile aesthetics and wellness business focused on providing convenient, personalized wellness services to clients in the Omaha metropolitan area. Our services may include mobile IV hydration and wellness treatments, with plans to expand our aesthetics and wellness offerings as the business grows.
We are seeking a qualified Medical Director / Collaborating Provider to provide clinical oversight, medical guidance, and support as we establish and grow our practice.
Because we are a small, growing business, we recognize that client volume may initially be limited. We are looking for a provider who is interested in building a long-term professional relationship with the business as our clientele and services expand.
Position Overview
The Medical Director / Collaborating Provider will provide appropriate clinical oversight and guidance for Boujee Beauty’s medical services. Much of the work is expected to be conducted remotely through telehealth, electronic chart review, virtual consultation, and ongoing communication.
Depending on the services offered and applicable Nebraska requirements, the provider may be asked to conduct or participate in good-faith examinations/medical evaluations before certain treatments, review patient histories and documentation, provide clinical guidance, and determine whether a client is an appropriate candidate for a requested service.
The provider will work collaboratively with the business owner and clinical staff to help ensure services are provided in accordance with applicable laws, professional standards, established protocols, and patient-safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide medical direction and clinical oversight for applicable wellness and aesthetic services.
- Conduct or facilitate appropriate good-faith examinations/medical evaluations, including via telehealth when legally and clinically appropriate.
- Review client health histories, intake forms, medications, allergies, contraindications, and relevant medical information.
- Review and approve appropriate treatment plans and clinical protocols.
- Perform periodic chart reviews and quality-assurance reviews.
- Remain reasonably available for clinical questions, concerns, and treatment-related guidance.
- Provide guidance regarding appropriate patient selection, treatment parameters, contraindications, and when a client should be referred to another healthcare provider.
- Assist with developing and maintaining standing orders, protocols, policies, and clinical procedures as appropriate.
- Provide oversight related to medication and medical-supply ordering, storage, handling, and inventory.
- Review appropriate medications, supplies, IV hydration materials, and other clinical products before ordering/use.
- Assist with establishing appropriate emergency procedures and patient-safety protocols.
- Provide clinical guidance regarding adverse reactions, complications, or other medical concerns.
- Maintain appropriate documentation and participate in quality-improvement activities.
- Communicate regularly with the business owner regarding clinical operations and regulatory considerations.
- Help ensure clinical practices remain consistent with applicable federal and Nebraska laws and regulations.
- Participate in periodic meetings or check-ins, primarily virtually.Telehealth Component
This position is expected to be primarily telehealth/remote-based, particularly during the initial stages of the business.
Remote responsibilities may include:
- Telehealth consultations and medical evaluations when appropriate.
- Chart review.
- Review of medical histories and intake documentation.
- Treatment-plan review.
- Clinical consultation with the business owner or staff.
- Protocol development and review.
- Medication and supply review.
- Quality assurance and compliance oversight.
Any in-person responsibilities would be discussed in advance and would depend on the services offered, patient needs, and applicable regulatory requirements.
Ideal Candidate
- Licensed physician, nurse practitioner, or other appropriately credentialed healthcare professional legally permitted to provide the required level of medical oversight in Nebraska.
- Current, unrestricted Nebraska license appropriate to the responsibilities of the position.
- Experience in aesthetics, IV hydration, wellness, urgent care, primary care, or another relevant clinical setting preferred.
- Comfortable providing telehealth-based medical evaluations and clinical consultation.
- Strong understanding of patient safety, documentation, and clinical protocols.
- Comfortable working with a small, entrepreneurial healthcare/wellness business.
- Interested in developing a long-term relationship with a growing company.
- Professional, responsive, collaborative, and comfortable providing clinical guidance in a developing practice environment.
Pay: $250.00 - $1,200.00 per month
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Omaha, NE 68131
