Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Teacher to inspire and guide young learners in a vibrant educational environment. Duties
- Develop and implement dynamic lesson plans aligned with developmental milestones, curriculum standards, and individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for children with disabilities.
- Lead classroom activities that promote literacy education, math skills, speech therapy exercises, behavioral health strategies, and early intervention techniques.
- Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management strategies and behavioral therapy techniques to ensure a safe and productive learning environment.
- Collaborate with specialists such as speech therapists, behavioral health professionals, and occupational therapists to support children’s holistic development.
- Conduct ongoing assessments using standardized testing methods to monitor progress and adapt instructional approaches accordingly.
- Mentor and supervise assistant teachers and childcare staff, providing guidance on classroom management, lesson planning, and inclusive education practices.
- Maintain detailed records of each child's progress, including IEP documentation, behavioral reports, and communication logs with families.
- Foster strong communication with parents and guardians through regular updates on their child's development and educational milestones.
Experience
- Proven classroom experience in early childhood education or special education settings, preferably within private schools or Montessori environments.
- Demonstrated expertise in working with children with autism, developmental disabilities, or other special needs populations.
- Strong background in curriculum development across literacy education, math instruction, and behavioral health strategies.
- Experience in implementing IEP goals and working within standardized testing frameworks to assess student progress.
- Knowledge of behavioral management techniques and behavioral therapy applications tailored for young children.
- Familiarity with preschool or early childhood education programs such as Montessori or preschool settings is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with families, colleagues, and specialists while mentoring junior staff members.
