Overview
Join our dynamic mental health team as a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC) or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), where you will play a vital role in providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health services. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and seniors, in an outpatient setting. You will deliver individual, group, and family therapy while utilizing a broad range of therapeutic modalities to promote healing and resilience. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations using ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to determine client needs.
- Provide individual, group, and family psychotherapy utilizing techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA).
- Implement crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols to ensure client safety during emergencies.
- Deliver specialized counseling services including grief counseling, addiction counseling, PTSD care, gender issues counseling, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism.
- Document all patient interactions accurately in accordance with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on case management plans to optimize patient care outcomes.
- Utilize telehealth platforms effectively to expand access to mental health services for remote clients.
- Engage in clinical research activities and data collection to support evidence-based practices and continuous improvement efforts.
Experience
- Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy or related field from an accredited program.
- Current licensure as an LGPC or LCPC; active license required for independent practice.
- Demonstrated experience in psychotherapy modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, or applied behavior analysis (ABA).
- Proven ability to work effectively with children, adolescents, adults, geriatrics, and individuals with disabilities or autism spectrum disorder.
- Experience delivering services via telehealth platforms with familiarity of HIPAA compliance standards.
- Knowledge of ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10) for accurate diagnosis documentation.
- Background in crisis intervention, crisis management, behavior management, and patient assessment in outpatient or inpatient settings.
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to behavioral health and mental health counseling practices.
