Responsibilities:
The fisherman will be responsible for safely and efficiently performing the specific duties below:

During the pulling and retrieval of the nets, the Seine Setter is responsible for pulling the corks and ensuring they are stacked and spread out in an orderly manner on the deck of the purse boat so as to allow for smooth flow of net back into the water during the fishing operations

During the pulling and retrieval of the nets, the Bunt pile Spreader is responsible for pulling the net and spreading it in an orderly fashion on the floor of the purse boat so as to ensure the net is able to flow back into the water in a smooth manner when setting the nets from the purse boats

During the pulling and retrieval of the nets the Ring Setter is responsible for assisting the Captain and Bosun with pulling the purse line as well as for sliding the net rings onto the net rods so as to ensure the net is able to flow back into the water in a smooth manner when setting the nets from the purse boats. In addition to assisting the crew with pulling the slack webbing during the fish pumping operations, the Ring Setter will tie lines around the net and hook shackle of the hydraulic crane to the net when it is being raised

During the pulling and retrieval of the nets, the Bowman will assist the Seine Setter and Bunt pile Spreader in pulling and spreading the corks and net on the deck of the purse boat. After the Captain and Bosun exit their respective purse boats, the Bowman takes over operation of the purse boats during the fish pumping operations

Maintain cleanliness of work area

Completes all tasks safely

Report all hazards, accidents, injuries, or environmental excursions to your Captain or a member of the management team immediately

Follow all terms and conditions of the Fisherman’s Agreement

All other duties as assigned
Minimum requirements:
-
Experience as a fisherman is preferred
