Long Island, NY creditor rights law firm has an immediate opening for an IN PERSON full-time associate attorney in its Woodbury, Long Island office. We are looking for a dedicated Litigation Attorney to join our firm. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in litigation, with additional involvement in creditors rights cases. Working directly with partners in a collaborative environment, you will take on significant case responsibilities and contribute to a diverse range of issues in our area of practice.
Responsibilities
- Handle litigation caseload, which includes drafting pleadings, motions, responsive
papers, discovery demands and responses, and correspondence
- Represent firm’s clients in both virtual and in-person court appearances
-Manage litigation cases from initial commencement through resolution or disposition, ensuring thorough preparation and execution.
- Review matters to ensure compliance with federal and state consumer protection rights
- Perform other additional duties as needed
- Room to grow for the right candidate
Qualifications
- Admission to the New York bar
- Excellent writing, communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
-Familiarity with the FDCPA a plus but not required.
- Proficiency in drafting motions, conducting legal research, and courtroom advocacy.
- Demonstrated ability to manage cases with moderate autonomy while maintaining high-quality work.
- Strong organizational and communication skills to handle multiple responsibilities effectively.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
