MedOp Solutions is partnering with a Level II Trauma Center in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin to hire an experienced Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract assignment.
This opportunity is based in a 14-bed ICU that cares for a diverse population of critically ill medical, surgical, neurological, trauma, and cardiac patients. The ideal candidate will have strong critical care experience, be proficient in advanced hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management, and possess excellent assessment and clinical decision-making skills. This role is well suited for ICU nurses who thrive in fast-paced environments and enjoy caring for a wide variety of high-acuity patients.

This facility does not perform cardiovascular surgery.
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill adult patients
- Manage ventilators, tracheostomies, chest tubes, and invasive monitoring devices
- Interpret cardiac rhythms and monitor telemetry
- Administer and titrate vasoactive, sedation, cardiac, paralytic, and pain medications
- Manage arterial lines, central venous pressure (CVP) monitoring, and other invasive lines
- Participate in surgical recovery and post-procedure care
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary care teams
- Document patient care accurately in EPIC
- Float to other units within scope of practice as needed
- Active Registered Nurse license
- Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- NIHSS certification required
- TNCC preferred
- EPIC experience required
- Strong critical care assessment and communication skills

- External Ventricular Drains (EVDs)
- Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CVVH)

- One Holiday Required Per Contract
- Up to 7 Days of Requested Time Off may be approved
- Six-week scheduling cycles
Travelers float first and may float anywhere within the hospital based on competency and scope of practice. When assigned to Medical-Surgical/Telemetry units or Emergency Department boarding patients, the assignment ratio is typically 1:4.
