The Billing manager will oversee the RCM , insurance verification, billing and coding processes ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing of payments and claims management. You will work closely with our RCM team, resolving denied claims. You will stay current on Ophthalmic specific insurance and policies. You will be responsible for AR reporting.

- Minimum 4 years of experience in medical billing/coding, including revenue cycle oversight.
- CPC or CCS certification strongly preferred.
- Experience with Nextech EHR or similar systems preferred.
- Ophthalmology experience is necessary
Key Responsibilities
- Review and audit billing transactions for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies and applicable regulation. You will serve as the payer expert including Medicare and commercial insurance.
- Staff leadership, train, mentor, end evaluate billing staff, setting productivity standards and managing team workloads.
- Monitor billing workflows and identify process inefficiencies, recommending and implementing improvements
- Coordinate with internal teams including Accounts Receivable, Finance, Sales, and Operations to resolve billing-related matters
- Prepare and analyze billing reports, reconciliations, and performance metrics for leadership review
- Maintain and update billing procedures, documentation, and training materials
- Ensure adherence to billing standards, payer requirements, and contractual obligations
- Support month-end and year-end close processes related to billing activities, including reports
- Liaise with external clients, vendors, or payers to resolve outstanding billing inquiries
- Oversee End to End claims management follow up, and resolution of rejections, denials to maximize revenue
- Assist with audits by providing billing documentation and data as required
- Stay current on industry billing regulations, coding updates, and best practices
Qualifications
Education
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
Experience
- 4-5 years of billing, accounts receivable, or revenue cycle experience
- Prior experience in a lead, senior, or informal supervisory capacity preferred
- Proven experience in medical billing, preferably in Ophthalmology.
- Deep understand of ICD-10 and CPT codes.
- Strong management skills

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
