Cybersecurity Instructor (Part Time or Full Time) - NYC
We are a private training school specializing in coding and web development education for adult career changers. We're looking for an in-person instructor to lead our cybersecurity classes.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and interactive cybersecurity instruction to students.
- Provide guidance and support to students with varying levels of experience in tech and coding skills.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to aid in their development.
- Stay current with industry trends and continuously update course materials to reflect the latest advancements in cybersecurity.
- Utilize classroom experience to effectively communicate complex concepts and facilitate hands-on learning activities.
You should have proficiency in all of the following, as well as the ability to teach it to people without prior experience in the platforms or topics:
- Python for cybersecurity
- Networking and network modes
- Linux and Bash scripting
- AWS
- Digital forensics
Nice to have but not required:
- Python for data science
- Python for web development
You should also:
- Have at least three years of teaching experience in the subject matter
- Be available to teach three-month-long cohorts running weekdays (10am-5pm EST) at our midtown Manhattan facility
- Be proficient in teleconferencing software such as Zoom
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract
Pay: $50.00 - $75.00 per hour
