Overview
Health Up Training and Services is seeking a qualified EKG & Phlebotomy Instructor to deliver in-person classroom and hands-on lab instruction. This role involves teaching both electrocardiography and venipuncture skills to prepare students for entry-level healthcare roles and national certification.
Classes will begin upon confirmed enrollment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver structured in-person classroom and lab instruction
- Teach cardiac anatomy, rhythm interpretation, and 12-lead EKG placement
- Teach venipuncture, capillary collection, and infection control procedures
- Supervise hands-on skills practice and ensure safety compliance
- Prepare students for national certification exams (NHA preferred)
- Maintain attendance, grading, and required documentation
Skills
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and veterinary terminology as applicable.
- Experience working with students or in higher education teaching environments related to health sciences or clinical research.
- Supervising experience in clinical or educational settings is highly desirable.
- Proficiency with learning technology platforms such as Blackboard or LMS tools for curriculum delivery and documentation review.
- Familiarity with laboratory experience, public health principles, and hospital or veterinary critical care environments.
- Excellent communication skills for teaching, documentation review, and patient interaction within diverse healthcare settings.
- Ability to adapt quickly to acute care situations while maintaining attention to detail in documentation and research protocols. Qualifications
- Certified EKG Technician (CET) and/or Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT)
- LPN or RN also considered
- Minimum 2–3 years of clinical experience
- Experience in both EKG and phlebotomy preferred
- Teaching or clinical training experience preferred
- Strong communication and instructional skills
Employment Details
Part-Time / Contract
Instructor availability needed for one or both schedules:
- Monday- Thursday : 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM
- Friday - Saturday: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Classes assigned based on enrollment
In-person instruction required

Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
