Job Title: Maintenance and Grounds Reports To: General Manager
SUMMARY
Camp Eddy is currently looking for reliable, outgoing and motivated members of our team. The Maintenance member will be responsible for the essential functions for the Maintenance position. Performing general maintenance and upkeep of the campground accommodations, general use areas and grounds. This position will also be assisting guests to and from sites and helping with other additional duties as required. Attached to Camp Eddy is an apartment complex. This position will also be helping to complete grounds work along with the apartments maintenance staff.
COMPENSATION:
$18 to $22/hr DOE

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Comply with all Campground operating policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean, presentable workplace and professional appearance
- Greet and interact with guests in a friendly, welcoming manner
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest maintenance requests
- Knowledge of tools, materials and practices associated with building and grounds maintenance
- Perform general maintenance and repairs including electrical, plumbing, and carpentry
- General area maintenance, including but not limited to community spaces, lawns, paths, and sites.
- Pick up trash and keep the campground clean and presentable
- Escort guests to sites when needed.
- Track maintenance issues and communicate them promptly to the General Manager
- Assist the General Manager with additional duties necessary for proper property operation
- Routine maintenance of bathhouses.
- Routine maintenance of RV sites, accommodations and general use areas
- Seasonal maintenance of tiny homes, sites, and other accommodations.
- Keep track of and communicate with the General Manager any maintenance issues arise to ensure prompt follow up.
- Demonstrate familiarity with Property Management Software or willingness to learn
- Be available for on-call maintenance support as scheduled
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Follow all safety procedures and properly use personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Assist with emergency maintenance situations, including weather-related events
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of maintenance tools, equipment, and work areas
- Monitor and report inventory needs for maintenance supplies and materials
- Assist with vendor or contractor access and coordination as needed
- Help with seasonal setup and breakdown of campground amenities and common areas

Supervisory & Training responsibilities:
- This role has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience & Skills:
- Maintenance experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of workplace safety practices and hazard awareness

- Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work Grand Junction, Colorado. (Required)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to use general maintenance equipment
- Must continually lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
- Must be able to walk, stand, sit, climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl to fulfill cleaning and repair/maintenance tasks for up to 4 hours in length
- Able to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for entire 8-hour shift
- Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity
- Must be able to grasp, write, use repetitive motion, listen, and hear
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision; distance vision; color vision; peripheral vision; depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in heat, cold, wind, and inclement weather
- Ability to safely climb ladders and work at heights when required
- Ability to push, pull, and carry tools, equipment, and materials across uneven terrain
