We are looking for a responsible and dependable individual to fill the position of Night Auditor. The successful candidate will possess strong communication skills, a passion for customer service, and be detail oriented. Because this position requires the employee to work without direct supervision it is imperative that the candidate be self-motivated, resourceful, and possess the key character traits of trustworthiness and reliability.
Responsibilities (What You Will Be Doing)
- Greet walk-in guests and guests with reservations when they arrive at the front desk.
- Answer the phone at the front desk and respond to inquiries in a friendly and efficient manner.
- Book reservations by phone, email or in person.
- Check in/check out guests, collect payments, and ensure accurate records of assigned and available rooms.
- Identify and explain hotel amenities to guests as well as provide direction to local destinations and attractions.
- Ensure the safety and security of our guests and staff by adhering to the company’s privacy policy.
- Verify posted entries to guest and non-guest accounts.
- Balance all front office accounts.
- Resolve room status and rate discrepancies.
- Review guest credit transactions against established limits.
- Generate operational and managerial reports.
- Communicate guest requests and complaints to the appropriate department.
- Maintain cleanliness and appearance of the front desk area.
- Support your team by preforming other tasks as needed.
- Maintain professional attire and personal cleanliness.
- Follow all company policies and procedures and take direction from your supervisor.
Qualifications (What We Are Looking For)
- High school diploma/GED required
- Friendly and welcoming manner
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Bilingual a plus
- Prior customer service experience a plus
- Ability to manage financial transactions and count cash required
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and computer literacy required
- Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
