SUMMARY
Our client is seeking an experienced Software Developer to join their R&D team developing next-generation medical X-ray imaging systems. This role will focus on designing, developing, testing, and maintaining Windows-based software used in FDA-regulated medical devices. The ideal candidate has strong C++/C# development experience, enjoys solving complex technical problems, and thrives in a collaborative engineering environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Design, develop, and maintain software for medical X-ray imaging systems using C++ and C#
2. Translate product requirements into software architecture, technical designs, and functional specifications
3. Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve software and system issues
4. Develop automation tools and test frameworks to support software verification and validation
5. Collaborate with systems, applications, image processing, and service engineering teams throughout product development
6. Support software documentation, design controls, and regulatory compliance for FDA-regulated products
7. Participate in Agile development activities including sprint planning, estimation, and execution
8. Implement secure software development practices and support cybersecurity initiatives
9. Perform software testing, code reviews, and system integration activities
10. Provide technical support for complex software-related issues as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
2. 5+ years of professional software development experience
3. Strong experience with C/C++, C#, and .NET development
4. Experience developing Windows desktop applications using WinForms and/or WPF
5. Knowledge of object-oriented programming, software architecture, and design patterns
6. Experience with multi-threaded programming, Windows operating systems, and TCP/IP networking
7. Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), testing, and change control processes
8. Strong troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills
9. Experience within medical devices, FDA-regulated environments, or medical imaging is highly preferred
10. Knowledge of ISO 13485, IEC 62304, ISO 14971, DICOM, or related medical device standards is a plus
