We are seeking enthusiastic and dependable Event & Church Sitters to join our team on a flexible schedule! Duties
- Supervise and care for children during events, services, or church activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Engage children with age-appropriate activities, games, and educational play to promote development and enjoyment
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children’s needs, behaviors, and any concerns that arise
- Implement behavior management strategies to maintain a positive environment for all children
- Follow established safety protocols including first aid procedures and mandated reporting laws when necessary
- Assist with activity planning tailored to different age groups such as toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary school-age children
- Maintain a clean and organized childcare area, ensuring all toys and supplies are safe and sanitized
Qualifications
- Experience working with children across various settings such as daycare, babysitting, nannying, or youth programs
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Ability to care for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary school-age children with patience and enthusiasm
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; ongoing training preferred
- Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with parents and team members
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques and activity planning for young children
- Reliable transportation and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or during special events
