We are seeking an experienced Law & Motion Law Clerk to join our growing Litigation Team. This is an on-site position based in Los Angeles, CA 90048 and is ideal for a highly organized legal professional who thrives in a fast-paced litigation environment and enjoys supporting attorneys through all stages of the litigation process.
The Law & Motion Law Clerk will work closely with attorneys to prepare and file motions, manage litigation deadlines, and support trial preparation. The ideal candidate has experience in civil litigation and is comfortable handling complex legal documents while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
What You'll Do
- Draft, review, and prepare motions, oppositions, replies, and other litigation-related pleadings
- Prepare and file court documents in compliance with California court rules and deadlines
- Assist attorneys with trial preparation, including trial briefs, witness lists, exhibit lists, and trial binders
- Draft and organize motions in limine, fee motions, and related supporting documents
- Maintain litigation calendars and monitor court deadlines to ensure timely filings
- Coordinate service of legal documents and maintain accurate case files
- Conduct legal research and assist with document preparation as needed
- Communicate with attorneys, court personnel, vendors, and opposing counsel regarding filings and scheduling
- Review court rules and filing requirements to ensure compliance
- Assist with special litigation projects and provide administrative support to the Law & Motion team
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree or Paralegal Certificate preferred
- Completion of law school is a strong plus
- Experience drafting and filing motions, trial documents, motions in limine, oppositions, fee motions, or similar litigation pleadings preferred
- Experience working in a civil litigation law firm required
- Strong understanding of California Rules of Court and civil litigation procedures
- Exceptional legal writing, proofreading, and organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Experience with Filevine or similar case management software is a plus
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and litigation staff
- Ability to commute to Los Angeles, CA 90048
