We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced QA Technician for our client in Greer, SC. The QA Technician will assist the QA Manager in assuring that procedures and policies set by Management are followed. This individual will provide information and/or analysis to Management, in addition to performing a variety of duties in regards to evaluating and improving the quality of tools or processing.
*Pay Range is $20.00 to $24.00 an hour (based on experience)
**A higher Pay Range is available for someone with specific CMM Quindos 7 software programming experience
* This is a Temp-to-Hire position
- Steel toe shoes are REQUIRED
- The 1st shift hours are 7:00am - 3:00pm, Monday-Friday
- Must be available for Overtime during the week and possibly Saturdays, based on business needs.
- Pay is WEEKLY every Friday.
Responsibilities:
- Test and Measure tools in accordance with engineering drawings, procedures, and Inspection Plans to assure conformance
- Proficient with measuring equipment (micrometers, calipers, etc.) and have the ability to assist or train others on the use and care of the equipment.
- Proficient in part drawing interpretation and able to assist other in reading prints.
- Evaluate and analyze Tools, document and communicate findings as required to Management.
- Communicate with others concerning Quality issues or concerns.
- Audit production, ISO procedures or any areas as directed by Management.
- Assist Production with Continuous Improvement Projects
- Assist Management with any projects, studies, special assignments or tasks as needed.
- Fill-in or assist in QA or Shipping when there is a heavy workload
- Maintain Quality records, equipment, and procedures
- Must maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- May be required to perform other duties as required by Supervisor
- Experience operating a CMM is a PLUS
- Background Check and Drug Screens will be completed

- Must have strong knowledge of mechanics or 2-4 years technical product exposure
- Must be able to set-up and operate various gauges to assure accurate results
- Must be computer literate, effective communicator and have the ability to write detailed reports or work instructions
- Must be capable of detailed print reading
- Must complete assigned duties according to a planned schedule with high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Experience with aerospace and/or automotive is a PLUS
Educational Requirements:
- Technical college degree or equivalent REQUIRED
- Three years minimum in Quality Assurance as Inspector or Technician.
- CMM programming and operational knowledge PREFERRED
- Quindos 7 specific software experience PREFERRED
