Job Summary
Ten Thousand Waves is a world-renowned spa resort known for its innovative position in the burgeoning wellness industry. We're looking for a creative person with great construction skills to help us in our quest for constant thoughtful improvement. We are constantly building facilities and spaces that break the mold in what is considered possible. Our ideal candidate would be responsible for all phases of the construction project including but not limited to managing employees, subcontractors, owner relations, quality control, safety, schedule and executing to the project budget. Provides knowledgeable, onsite support for ongoing and advanced maintenance projects. This candidate will operate under the GB98 of Ten Thousand Waves, Inc.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate closely with President and COO to plan, direct, and coordinate all activities for projects to ensure projects are accomplished within prescribed financials and scheduling parameters.
- Oversee budget and schedule, reporting regularly on project(s) costs, progress, and forecasts to President, COO, and the Projects team.
- Coordinate with COO, Maintenance Manager, and Woodshop Manager for the allocation of shared resources such as personnel and equipment.
- Supervise work performed to ensure it meets specifications and limits disruption to business operations.
- Review drawings and specifications for constructability, completeness, and accuracy.
- Supervision of Projects Personnel and subcontractors, as assigned.
- Available to promptly respond to project ad-hoc needs, including overnights and/or weekend work as needed.
- Ensure all on-site compliance with project procedures, safety program requirements, work rules and company policies.
- Apply expert level knowledge in general construction, materials, equipment, and risk management..
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in construction industry and/or building trades
- Demonstrated ability to thoroughly understand drawings and specifications, materials, means and methods.
- Valid Driver’s License with a clear MVR.
- Established relationships with local subcontractors a plus
- Bilingual English/Spanish a plus

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
- Frequent walking on uneven surfaces, including ground in varying weather conditions.
- Regularly sit, stand, or walk short distances for up to the entire duration of a shift/workday.
- May stoop, kneel, or bend on an occasional basis.
- May reach above shoulder heights and below the waist on frequent basis.
- Occasionally climb stairs or ladders, etc.
- Regularly works near heavy equipment and moving machinery.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Exposure to outdoor environment with machinery/equipment in the surrounding area.
- This position requires the use and operation of a personal and/or company vehicle.
- Able to safely operate a motor vehicle.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
