Position Overview
As a Barista and Bakery Sales Associate at Classic Bakery, you’ll be the friendly face of our café, responsible for assisting customers with their purchases, serving our signature cakes and pastries, and crafting the perfect espresso and coffee beverages. You’ll be part of a dynamic front-of-house team, making sure every customer leaves with a smile and a memorable experience. Plus, our front-of-house staff enjoys great tips, making it even sweeter to work here!
What You’ll Do
- Greet and assist customers with product recommendations and purchases
- Learn and craft high-quality espresso drinks, coffees, and teas
- Provide excellent customer service, ensuring each guest feels welcome and appreciated
- Keep the front-of-house area clean, organized, and stocked throughout the day
- Process transactions accurately and efficiently
- Support with opening/closing duties and other tasks as needed to maintain smooth operations
- Follow food safety protocols and uphold health standards
What We’re Looking For
- Outgoing and Friendly Personality: You enjoy interacting with people and have a positive, can-do attitude.
- Customer Service Experience: Ideally, you have some experience working in customer service and are excited about making customers feel valued.
- ServSafe Certification: Strongly recommended or a solid understanding of food safety protocols.
- Reliable and Punctual: We need someone who is committed to being on time and dependable, especially during our busiest hours.
- Team Player: You enjoy working as part of a team and contributing to a fun, fast-paced atmosphere.
