Overview
We are looking to hire a Respiratory Therapist who will become a vital part of patient care with Family Medical Equipment & Supply. In this role, you will provide Cpap and BiPap machines and supplies to patients. You would also need to be willing to learn the basics of the rest of the company in order to help with phone calls and walk-ins when not having appointments. We are committed to fostering a positive, environment in a small family-run business.
Responsibilities
- Monitor patient responses to treatments, adjusting protocols as necessary to optimize outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families on Cpap and BiPap usage.
- Fit with the appropriate Cpap mask.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
- Maintain accurate documentation of treatments, patient progress, and clinical observations in medical records.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Respiratory Therapist
- Certification as a Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from an accredited organization.
- Strong understanding of Cpap and Bipaps.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients and collaborate with healthcare teams.
- Knowledge of infection control protocols and safety standards in healthcare environments.
- Compassionate approach with a dedication to improving patient well-being through expert care.
This is currently a part-time position. There is another aspect of Family Medical Equipment & Supply, dealing with custom compression garments, that could make this into a full-time position.
We are a small, family-owned company that cares about their employees and is known for great customer service. Our current RT is retiring after 25 years so we are looking for the right candidate to join our team.
Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
