This position is located in the Parks and Recreation Department. The Equipment Operator Sr. - Parks/Grounds & Landscaping operates large gasoline and/or diesel-powered equipment for digging, mowing, landscaping, transporting materials and equipment. Performs a variety of maintenance and construction activities. Performs related duties as required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Eighth (8th) grade education and one (1) year of grounds maintenance experience
LICENSE REQUIRED
Valid Driver License
Note: Must obtain a Class A license in first 6 months and this position is subject to Random Drug tests.

- Experience operating tractors, lawn & grounds maintenance equipment

Experience mowing grass and trimming trees, bushes, and shrubs

Knowledge and skill to clean, service and repair small equipment such as blowers, string trimmers, chain saws, etc.
