Position Summary
We are seeking a hands-on Mechanical Engineering Technician to support wire cloth manufacturing operations, troubleshooting, and facility improvements. This role works closely with customer service, sales, production, and maintenance teams to ensure high-quality output, efficient processes, and continuous improvement across operations.
Key Responsibilities
· Provide support to customer service and sales teams, including product knowledge and troubleshooting assistance.
· Support production teams by resolving manufacturing issues and improving operational performance.
· Assist with equipment installation, startup, and troubleshooting of wire cloth looms and related systems.
· Recommend and implement equipment and process improvements to reduce downtime, improve safety and increase productivity.
· Support preventive maintenance initiatives and reliability improvements.
· Assist with facility layout planning and optimization to improve workflow and efficiency.
· Support building improvements, construction projects, and system upgrades.
· Assist in identifying quality issues and implementing corrective actions.
· Share best practices and support team development across engineering and production functions.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in Engineering, related field or equivalent work experience.
· Experience in manufacturing environments (preferably wire cloth, metal fabrication, or similar industries).
· Experience with troubleshooting and process improvement.
· Familiarity with quality control methods.
· Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
· Excellent communication abilities.
Preferred Skills
· Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
· Knowledge of industrial layout and facility planning.
· CAD design experience.
· Hands-on mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting expertise
