Kinder Joy Learning Academy is a growing leader in early childhood education services. We provide care within the Upstate region of SC touching the lives of more than 100 families daily.
As a Afterschool teacher, you play a direct role in shaping the minds of our little scholars each day by serving them in a safe environment promoting long term and stimulating learning.
- Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; college coursework in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
- Minimum 6 months to 1 year of experience working with children in a group setting.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Must be reliable, patient, and enjoy working with children.
- Ability to pass background checks and meet all DSS requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and engage with children (ages 5–12) in a safe, positive, and respectful manner.
- Assist with homework and academic enrichment activities.
- Plan and lead fun, age-appropriate activities including arts, crafts, games, and outdoor play.
- Maintain classroom order, cleanliness, and safety.
- Build strong, respectful relationships with children, parents, and coworkers.
- Ensure daily communication with parents regarding their child's activities and progress.
- Follow all center policies, DSS regulations, and health & safety guidelines.
