Position Overview:
We are seeking a DEPENDABLE and MOTIVATED renovation technician to support our skilled tradespeople and project teams on active job sites throughout Central Florida. This role involves physical labor, tool operation, material handling, and site preparation. Key Responsibilities:
- Transport materials via box truck across project storage and work areas.
- Assist skilled tradespeople with tasks such as demolition, framing, and general construction.
- Load, unload, and distribute building materials to designated areas.
- Measure, mark, and assist in site layout preparation according to project plans.
- Mix and prepare materials (e.g., cement, adhesives) for use by skilled workers.
- Set up, maintain, and dismantle work areas, including scaffolding and temporary structures.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Clean and maintain job sites, removing debris and ensuring safe conditions.
- Direct traffic and assist with equipment positioning on-site.
- Store materials and tools securely at the end of each day.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support construction operations.
- NOTE: This position may be subject to 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift assignments depending on project needs.
Qualifications:
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
- Strong work ethic, dependability, and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing tasks and assignments.
- Basic math skills for counting materials and taking measurements.
- Prior construction or labor experience is REQUIRED.
- Valid driver's license required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs and push/pull up to 50 lbs.
- Stamina to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for up to 8 hours/day.
- Capable of working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Must be able to climb stairs and ladders while carrying materials.
- Availability to work occasional Saturdays or evenings, as needed.
