Guam Temps, Inc. is recruiting on behalf of a well-established shipping and logistics company here in Guam. We are seeking a skilled Accounts Payable Specialist to support their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and is confident working with large financial data sets.
This is a Full-Time, Temporary Contract with the potential for extension based on business needs and performance.
What You’ll Do
As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions while maintaining strong vendor relationships.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Processing high volumes of invoices with speed and accuracy
- Matching purchase orders, invoices, and receipts
- Reviewing and reconciling vendor statements and account balances
- Resolving discrepancies, billing issues, and payment inquiries
- Preparing payment batches and ensuring timely payment processing
- Maintaining organized financial records and AP documentation
- Supporting month-end closing and reporting activities
- Collaborating with internal teams to improve payment workflows

Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in Accounts Payable, accounting, bookkeeping, or finance
- Proven ability to handle high-volume transactions / large invoice loads
- Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems/ERP software
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in shipping, freight, logistics, or transportation industries
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite
