Due to continued growth, Amy's Windows is seeking an experienced Commercial Window Treatment Estimator to join our preconstruction team.
Amy's Windows is a 100% woman-owned commercial window treatment subcontractor specializing in blinds, shades, draperies, and specialty window coverings. We partner with general contractors, architects, designers, and building owners to deliver exceptional projects throughout the commercial construction industry.
This position is in-office for the first 120 days to ensure a successful onboarding and training experience, with the opportunity to work remotely one day per week after completing training.
What You'll Do
As our Estimator, you'll play a critical role in winning new projects by preparing accurate, competitive bids and collaborating with our project team from preconstruction through award.
Responsibilities include:
- Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for commercial window treatment projects.
- Review construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
- Perform quantity takeoffs and analyze project requirements.
- Solicit and coordinate pricing from manufacturers and suppliers.
- Clarify scope, exclusions, and value engineering opportunities.
- Work closely with project managers, sales staff, vendors, architects, and general contractors.
- Manage multiple bids while meeting strict deadlines.
- Maintain organized estimating files and documentation.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, thrives in a fast-paced construction environment, and takes pride in producing accurate work.
Ideal candidates will have:
- Experience estimating commercial construction projects (window treatments, specialties, interiors, or related trades preferred).
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent time management and the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- High level of computer proficiency; experience with estimating or project management software is preferred.
- Self-motivation, initiative, and a collaborative attitude.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business, Interior Design, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (or equivalent industry experience).
- Experience with Bluebeam (training available for the right candidate).
- Experience working with commercial subcontractors or construction estimating.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
