Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Bridge Construction Carpenter and Concrete Finisher to join our dynamic construction team. Duties
- Read and interpret detailed construction plans, schematics, and blueprints to accurately execute carpentry and concrete finishing tasks.
- Construct formwork for concrete pours, ensuring proper alignment, stability, and adherence to specifications.
- Install rebar reinforcement according to technical drawings and safety standards to strengthen concrete structures.
- Operate power tools, hand tools, heavy equipment, and concrete mixers safely and efficiently on-site.
- Pour, level, finish, and cure concrete surfaces with precision to achieve smooth finishes that meet project standards.
- Maintain strict adherence to construction workplace safety regulations while managing heavy lifting and working at heights or in challenging environments.
Requirements
- Proven experience working on construction projects with a focus on bridge or large-scale infrastructure work.
- Proficiency in concrete forming, cutting, pouring, finishing, and related techniques such as rebar installation and concrete pumping.
- Familiarity with construction workplace safety regulations including OSHA standards or equivalent safety protocols.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, heavy machinery, and heavy equipment safely and effectively.
- Mechanical knowledge related to construction equipment maintenance and troubleshooting is a plus.
- Valid experience in carpentry disciplines such as formwork construction, framing (including metal stud framing), trim carpentry, roofing, restoration or renovation work.
- Excellent physical condition with the ability to perform heavy lifting and work in various weather conditions.
- Strong communication skills for interpreting technical drawings and collaborating with team members.
