L&H Manufacturing (www.lhmfg.com) is seeking a Press Brake Operator for its facility in Hastings, NE. This is an entry level position, requiring minimum experience of 1 year or currently enrolled in a metalworking program . Four (4) day work week. The essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Minimum 1 year of Press Brake Operator / Metalworking experience required.
- Assume responsibility for ensuring the duties of this position are performed in a safe and efficient manner.
- Keep a clean and orderly work area.
- Perform other duties that may be assigned by the Supervisor.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Experience bending sheet metal of various thicknesses.
- Ability to adjust the settings on the Press Brake are required.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be willing to learn and improve to perform each essential duty in a satisfactory manner.
- Willingness to follow written or oral work instructions.
Preferred Skills
- Ability to work well with others, be organized and detail oriented.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and parts, to bend, and to stand or walk for long periods of time.
- Willingness to work in shifts that may include early hours or overtime if necessary.
Additional Notes
- All applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Work schedule is Monday-Thursday, 6:00am - 4:30pm.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
- Starting base wage is between $18.00 and $20.00 per hour, depending on work experience.
- After 30 days of employment, employee is eligible for paid holidays.
- After 60 days of employment, employee is eligible for health insurance.
- After 90 days of employment, employee is eligible for company benefits including uniforms, boots and retirement program.
- Paid vacation available after 1 year of employment.
