Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

Status: Full-Time
Pay: $38-$45/hr
Parkway Hills is looking for a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team!
This is a great opportunity to work alongside an experienced therapy team while helping residents regain strength, mobility, and independence. We're looking for a PTA who brings a positive attitude, strong clinical skills, and a genuine commitment to helping residents reach their goals.
What You'll Do
- Provide physical therapy treatments under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
- Carry out individualized treatment plans focused on mobility, strength, balance, endurance, and functional independence
- Guide and encourage residents throughout their rehabilitation journey
- Monitor resident progress and communicate changes or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist
- Accurately document treatments, resident response, and progress.
- Educate residents and families on exercises, mobility techniques, and safety recommendations
- Collaborate with nursing, therapy, and other members of the care team to support resident goals
- Follow all facility, state, federal, and professional standards for therapy services
What We're Looking For
- Current Physical Therapist Assistant license in California required
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Dependable, organized, and able to work collaboratively with the therapy and nursing teams
- Previous experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, geriatrics, or post-acute care is preferred, but not required
