Assists Property Manager with managing public housing developments. Conducts orientation for new residents, shows units, explains and reviews lease obligations and other policies and procedures governing possession and continued occupancy. Will collect monthly rent, prepare deposits, and maintain collection records of security deposits, rents and other charges. Responsible for scheduling and sending notification letters for annual and interim recertification. Will compose delinquent notices, eviction letters, rent change notices, and other correspondence as necessary. Reviews tenant accounts receivable reports daily and conducts documented collection activities for delinquent accounts. Receives, investigates, and resolves tenant complaints. Interviews and counsels residents concerning lease violations and offers referrals for financial assistance and any other social service assistance that may help tenant initiate corrective action. Prepares monthly reports. Will implement and enforce HUD regulations. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Experience in the use of computers and software applications including MS Word, and MS Excel a plus. Knowledge of office practices, financial record keeping procedures, ability to use tact, discretion, and courtesy in dealing with residents.
