Warehouse Wave Coordinator
Pay: $21.00 per hour (Weekly Pay)
IMPORTANT – Cold Storage Environment
This position is located in a refrigerated food distribution warehouse. Employees spend the majority of their shift working in cold temperatures and should be prepared to wear warm layers, insulated gloves, and other cold-weather gear. We are hiring an experienced Warehouse Wave Coordinator to join our fast-paced cold storage warehouse team. This is a full-time position responsible for coordinating warehouse workflow, monitoring order progress, and ensuring customer orders are completed accurately and shipped on time. Available Schedules
Choose from one of the following full-time schedules:
- Monday – Thursday: 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM
- Thursday – Sunday: 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM
- Thursday – Sunday: 8:00 PM – 6:00 AM
Weekend, holiday, and overtime availability may be required based on business needs.
Job Responsibilities
As a Warehouse Wave Coordinator, you will:
- Release and prioritize warehouse work through the Warehouse Management System (WMS)
- Monitor picking, packing, staging, loading, replenishment, and order progress throughout the shift
- Ensure orders are completed in time to meet shipping and dispatch deadlines
- Track active work queues and quickly identify delays or bottlenecks
- Communicate workflow updates, risks, and operational issues with warehouse leadership
- Monitor inventory exceptions, short picks, rework, and aging tasks
- Assist with balancing workload across warehouse departments
- Coordinate with staging and loading teams to ensure outbound orders are ready for on-time dispatch
- Maintain shift tracking and provide detailed handoff notes to the next shift
- Help improve warehouse efficiency by supporting smooth workflow and minimizing downtime
Qualifications Required
- Previous warehouse or distribution center experience
- Experience working with a Warehouse Management System (WMS)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills
- Comfortable working both on the warehouse floor and at a computer workstation
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and overtime when needed
Preferred
- Previous experience as a Wave Coordinator, Warehouse Coordinator, Inventory Clerk, Shipping Clerk, Dispatch Clerk, or Warehouse Lead
- Experience in food distribution, grocery, restaurant supply, fulfillment, or cold storage warehouses
- Experience with ShipHero or similar WMS platforms
- Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for the duration of the shift
- Frequently move throughout the warehouse to monitor operations
- Comfortable working in a refrigerated environment for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds when necessary
- Ability to use computers and warehouse systems throughout the day
