DPPS is a Houston based robotic integrator for end of line packaging equipment, and other material handling solutions.
We have an immediate opening for an extremely exciting and challenging career opportunity for a PLC Programmer.
The person we are looking for has proven experience in performing PLC programming for Rockwell PLC based system. Studio 5000 experience required, and or proven experience with Siemens TIA portal.
The candidate will need to be able to work independently, and have proven ability to write PLC programs from scratch, including networking of external components like VFD, Camera's, Servo drives etc.
The PLC Programmer position develops the control system programs within the project team. And is also responsible for the integration of 3rd party equipment, like safety systems, conveyors, VFD's, labelers, check weighers etc.,
He/She will also work with the robot systems project engineer and develop the logic within the robot to communicate faults and handshake with auxiliary equipment in the cell.
Integrate into the safety circuits/controller of the other parts of the cell using PLC and Safety I/O. Travel to customer sites for installation and startup support of custom machinery and automation.
Estimated travel will be 20-30% of the time.
Skills & Qualifications: Strong working knowledge of robotic systems and their applications is preferred. 5 years prior experience with PLC & HMI programming, creating schematics using Autocad Electrical, safety circuits, vision systems, conveyor systems, assembly systems, servo and vfd drives is highly desirable.
Weekend work is required at times.
Ability to be on call.
Ability to travel on a short notice.
