Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Process Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring and optimizing manufacturing processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety. This role requires a strong understanding of process operations and the ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise. The Process Technician will play a crucial role in maintaining production standards and implementing process improvements.
Responsibilities
- Monitor daily production processes, ensuring compliance with established standards and procedures.
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and process deviations, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and processes to identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize manufacturing processes for efficiency and quality.
- Maintain accurate records of production data, including process parameters and quality metrics.
- Assist in the training of new employees on process operations and safety protocols.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing productivity and reducing waste.
- Thermal imaging of production tools daily.
- Mapping of spray heads to specific tools
- Cleaning of production spray heads
- Rebuilding of spray heads on/off machines
- Leaker identification of suspect product from production
- Inspect and gage castings as outlined in TS16949 work instructions, to ensure that the product meets, or exceeds all dimensional and visual characteristics as defined.
- Cycle time dissection for production product
- Lube ratio checks per the process
- Training of production personnel relative to process and producing quality product
- Report any discrepancies or conditions that require corrective, predictive, or planned maintenance for production systems.
- Must follow all safety rules and policies as set forth by OSHA guidelines and Madison-Kipp Corporation.
- Performs other related duties and assignments as required.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Process Technician or in a similar role within a die casting or injection mold manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Strong understanding of process control systems, machinery operation, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing setting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to collaborate with team members across various departments.
