Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic 3K Lead Teacher for the upcoming school year. In this role, you will lead a small classroom of 3-year-olds, designing engaging, age-appropriate lessons that promote social-emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
Key Responsibilities
- Classroom Leadership: Create a safe, welcoming, and organized classroom environment tailored to the needs of 3-year-olds.
- Curriculum Development: Implement a high-quality 3K curriculum that integrates play-based learning, literacy, math readiness, and Jewish values/holidays.
- Child Development: Foster social-emotional growth, independence, and a love for learning in every child.
- Communication: Maintain open, warm, and professional communication with parents regarding their child’s daily progress and milestones.
- Collaboration: Work closely with assistant teachers, specialists, and administration to build a supportive school community.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Certification (Required): New York State Teaching Certification in Early Childhood Education (Birth–Grade 2) — Initial, Professional, or Permanent.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years of experience leading a classroom in an early childhood setting (3K/Pre-K experience preferred).
- Cultural Alignment: Knowledge of, or a strong willingness to learn and embrace, Jewish traditions, holidays, and values.
- Skills: Strong classroom management, deep patience, creativity, and excellent communication skills.
