- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by following proper cleaning procedures and sanitation standards.
- Handle food safely by adhering to food handling protocols, safety standards, and hygiene practices at all times.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely service delivery.
- Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food while maintaining quality control.
Requirements
- Proven experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide within healthcare or institutional settings.
- Strong background in food service, restaurant work, or the food industry with a focus on culinary techniques.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices.
- Skilled in knife handling, slicing techniques, and recipe adherence for consistent meal quality.
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively coordinate with kitchen staff and other team members.
- Experience in menu planning, meal preparation, and catering is highly desirable.
