Job Summary
The FSE (Field Service Engineer) is a position that requires traveling (Domestic and International) in order to support our global customers. The FSE is part of the service team that is responsible for installation, commissioning and executing the qualification process for chemical and gas equipment. The service team works with engineering, sales, and technology to share technical knowledge that will support the company’s continuous improvement initiative.
Responsibilities
- Provide quality on-site repair, maintenance service, and complete installation/relocation start-up services of Exentec’s complex chemical and gas delivery systems at customer sites.
- Perform analytical problem-solving, troubleshooting, conduct diagnostics, and isolate issues to the component level, and take corrective actions to minimize downtime, system interruptions, and equipment malfunctions.
- Keep up to date on semiconductor market and leading-edge technologies and Exentec products through learning, training, and certification.
- Assist in complex field modifications and updates, maintaining records and reports to coordinate activities between Exentec and the customer.
- Serve as a subject matter expert, representing Exentec to our valued customers, delivering exceptional customer satisfaction.
- Troubleshoot and create customer response action plans to support customer needs.
- Transparently discuss opportunities and challenges with customers to increase trust.
- Provide technical instruction and mentoring for more junior engineers.
- All other duties as specified.
Experience & Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Engineering, or related field and 5+ years of experience; or Master’s degree with 3+ years; or equivalent work experience.
- Ability to travel up to 80% or more.
- Ability to travel, start up, and service Chemical and Gas delivery equipment.
- Basic troubleshooting skills that apply to mechanical and/or electrical equipment
- Use of basic hand and power tools.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to use Microsoft programs such as Word and Excel.
- Ability to Multitask.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
