Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Construction Foreman/Operator Lead to oversee and manage construction site operations, ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. In this pivotal role, you will lead a team of skilled workers, coordinate heavy equipment operation, and ensure adherence to project schedules and safety protocols. Duties
- Lead and supervise construction crews, ensuring all work aligns with project plans, schematics, and specifications.
- Operate heavy machinery and equipment safely and efficiently, including bulldozers, excavators, and loaders.
- Coordinate daily construction activities with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to meet deadlines.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to guide onsite operations.
- Conduct quality control inspections to ensure work meets safety standards, building codes, and client expectations.
- Manage site safety protocols in compliance with OSHA regulations; conduct safety meetings and training sessions regularly.
- Monitor project budgets and assist with construction estimating; track costs related to labor, materials, and equipment usage.
- Oversee contract compliance by reviewing contracts and ensuring all work adheres to contractual obligations.
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, inspections, and progress reports for project documentation.
Skills
- Proven experience supervising construction sites with strong leadership capabilities in managing teams effectively.
- Extensive knowledge of construction management software including ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Primavera or similar platforms.
- Skilled in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings with precision.
- Familiarity with construction estimating tools like HeavyBid; experience in budgeting is a plus.
- Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards; ability to enforce safety policies rigorously on-site.
- Technical proficiency with tools such as ohmmeters for electrical troubleshooting; experience with pipeline projects is advantageous.
- Excellent project scheduling skills combined with the ability to adapt plans as needed for unforeseen challenges.
- Effective management skills with a focus on supervising experience in complex construction environments.
- Knowledge of contracts management processes; ability to interpret contractual documents accurately.
