I am seeking a reliable Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to provide personal care and support during my time at colleege.
Personal care responsibilities include:
- Assisting with three showers per week.
- Helping me undress my lower body before showering, including removing my shoes, AFO braces, socks, underwear, and pants.
- Turning on or adjusting the shower if the controls are out of my reach.
- Assisting with drying areas I cannot safely reach, such as my back.
- Helping me get dressed after showering by assisting with my lower-body clothing, shoes, and braces.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Changing my bed sheets by putting them back on once washed.
This position offers 10–15 hours per week, with the opportunity for additional hours during the summer.
During the summer, companion care hours may be available. These duties may include accompanying me to the grocery store, helping organize shopping lists, assisting with meal-prep planning, and providing general community support. Personal care assistance will continue to be provided as well.
I am looking for someone who is dependable, respectful, and comfortable assisting with personal care while helping me maintain my independence.
Pay: $20.00 per hour
