Air Systems Components (ASC) – Shipping/Logistics Supervisor
Air Distribution Technologies, Inc., is seeking a Shipping/Logistics Supervisor for our Tarboro, NC manufacturing facility. This role will lead the plant’s shipping (including invoicing) , and logistics operations to ensure that outgoing shipments are efficiently consolidated, packaged, invoiced and shipped to ensure key customer delivery, transportation, regulatory and COPQ goals are met. This role will lead, train, and recruit (as needed) the plant’s shipping, invoicing and logistics team members.
- Lead daily activities related to ensuring proper warehousing, picking, packing, invoicing and shipping outbound materials.
- Coordinate daily shipping schedules, packaging, palletization, and outbound logistics
- Plan and manage shipping area space utilization and team members to support meeting daily, weekly and monthly objectives
- Ensure all activities are performed safely and in compliance with company policies and various other regulatory requirements
- When needed provide support related to inbound shipments
- Manage relationships with ADTI’s corporate logistics team, approved carriers and 3PL partners to optimize service and cost
- Maintain inventory accuracy within the shipping areas (FG’s) through cycle counting, routine reconciling of shipping area inventory, and ERP transaction discipline is practiced
- Develop and track shipping and logistics performance metrics
- Support continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, production, and materials teams
- Associate degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field; or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of warehouse, logistics, or materials leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with and understanding of ERP/MRP systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Strong knowledge of inventory control, shipping, processes
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) or transportation management systems (TMS)
- Experience with import/export regulations and compliance
- This role operates in a manufacturing and warehouse environment with exposure to moving equipment, forklifts, and varying noise levels
- Requires standing, walking, lifting, and material handling throughout the day
- May require occasional travel (up to 5%)
