SUMMARY
Respiratory therapist, with supervision of a physician, performs cardiopulmonary evaluation, respiratory therapy treatment
techniques, and education of resident, patient, staff, family, and caregivers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Performs the tests that aid in the diagnosis and evaluation of respiratory problems using special apparatus and administering therapies. • Selects, assembles and checks equipment used in the respiratory treatment. • Gives temporary relief to patients with conditions ranging from chronic asthma to heart failure, stroke, etc. • Performs diagnostic tests and monitors patient’s treatment. • Teaches patients and their families to use equipment. • Draws blood and analyzes the oxygen, carbon dioxide and pH levels. • Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.
ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS

Meets current State licensing requirements.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
May supervise Respiratory Therapist Assistants, Rehab Techs and / or Rehab Aides, and others involved in program
Participates in (or conducts) company-sponsored training to safeguard against improper use and disclosure of resident’s
protected health information. Monitors and ensures compliance with company policies, procedures and state and federal law.

SALARY RANGE: $35 to $38 PER HOUR DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE
