American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a NICU position requiring 3+ years of experience and RRT certification, with potential floating to PICU and Pediatrics.
-
Work in a NICU setting with potential to float to PICU and Pediatrics as needed
-
Neonatal and pediatric patient population including high-risk deliveries and critical care cases
-
Patient ratio of 1:8
-
Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
-
Weekend rotation required every other weekend
-
Epic charting system used
-
Minimum 3 years of experience required, with 2 years preferred; 1 year may be considered case by case
-
Current RRT certification required
-
BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
-
SC state licensure required if applicable
-
Epic charting experience preferred but not required
-
Trauma Level I experience preferred

Skilled in neonatal/pediatric ventilator management, intubation assist, and airway management
-
Experience with medication delivery systems, nebulizer therapy, and oxygen therapy
-
Proficient in arterial blood gas draws and interpretation
-
Experience caring for patients with respiratory distress syndrome, RSV, bronchopulmonary dysplasia, and cystic fibrosis

Provide respiratory care services to neonatal and pediatric patients including high-risk delivery support

Perform ventilator management, airway suctioning, and pulmonary hygiene procedures

Assist with intubation and extubation for neonatal and pediatric patients

Complete pass/fail Cardiac Dysrhythmia testing during orientation with only one attempt permitted

First-time travelers will be considered for this position

Candidates must live outside a 75-mile radius of the facility to be eligible

All requested time off must be submitted with the initial application, as later requests will not be considered
