Class B CDL Driver – Waste Collection

This role is responsible for safely operating garbage trucks on assigned routes, collecting residential and/or commercial waste, and maintaining a high standard of customer service while ensuring compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.
- Complete assigned collection routes efficiently and on schedule.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs.
- Collect, transport, and dispose of waste and recyclable materials in accordance with company procedures.
- Operate hydraulic and mechanical systems used for lifting and compacting waste.
- Follow all local, state, and federal DOT regulations and company safety standards.
- Maintain route logs, inspection reports, and other required documentation.
- Navigate residential, commercial, and industrial routes safely.
- Communicate with dispatch and supervisors regarding delays, hazards, or route changes.
- Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of assigned equipment.
- Provide courteous and professional interaction with customers and the public.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
- Clean driving record and ability to pass MVR review.
- Current DOT medical card (or ability to obtain).
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.
- Knowledge of DOT safety regulations and waste collection procedures.
- Ability to safely maneuver large vehicles in tight spaces, neighborhoods, and commercial sites.
- Strong reliability, punctuality, and work ethic.
Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
