We are seeking an experienced, dependable, and detail-oriented Virtual Retina Scribe to join our growing ophthalmology practice. This position is ideal for someone with an extensive background in retina who can accurately document patient encounters in real time while supporting a fast-paced retina specialist.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and understands the importance of accuracy, efficiency, and professionalism in a busy ophthalmic setting. Reliability is essential. We are looking for someone who consistently shows up, communicates effectively, and takes pride in producing high-quality work every day.
This position also offers the opportunity to pick up additional per diem virtual scribing shifts with our comprehensive ophthalmologists (MDs) and optometrists (ODs) based on office needs and performance.
Responsibilities
- Virtually scribe for retina specialists during patient encounters.
- Accurately document patient history, examination findings, assessments, treatment plans, and procedures in the electronic medical record (EMR- Nextech).
- Possess a strong understanding of retinal diseases, diagnoses, imaging, and treatments.
- Document intravitreal injections, laser procedures, OCT interpretations, fluorescein angiography, and other retina-related findings.
- Maintain exceptional attention to detail while working efficiently in a high-volume clinic.
- Communicate professionally with physicians and clinical staff.
- Ensure documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with practice standards.
- Protect patient confidentiality and maintain HIPAA compliance.
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
