The Assistant Manager will work closely under the guidance and direction of the General Manager. In the absence of the General Manager the Assistant General Manager the Assistant Manager is responsible and accountable for managing the daily operations of the entire restaurant. Extra job assignments include the following:
Specific Duties– (Responsible for anything related to the Bar)
- All orders pertaining to the Bar include Beer, Liquor, Wine, Glassware, Bar Utensils, Small wares etc...
- Four-week period Inventory and liquor cost.
- Initial Interviews of all Bartenders and Bar Backs, selecting candidates for second interview with GM.
- Develop a Training manual for Bartenders to follow, selecting a designated Bartender to do the training and making sure they are following your procedures and tested before they work their first shift.
- Meeting with Liquor and Beer Reps and decision making on rotating draft and bottle selection.
- Maintain complete knowledge of the latest beverages crazes and popular liquor brands and beers and introduce them to Redbeard’s.
- Put together our specialty drink menu for all 3 seasons, Fall, Winter & Summer.
- Designed glassware and garnishes for drinks. All bar menu items, preparation. Method/time, ingredients, sauces, portion sizes, garnishes, presentation, and prices.
- Keep an updated beer list for servers.
- Making sure that all our liquor and beer selling prices increase at our set percentage when we get price increases.
- Make sure all FOH staff are RAMP certified.
- Maintain complete knowledge and strictly abide by state liquor regulations, particularly those prohibiting service to minors, intoxicated people, and drunk driving.
- Bar Equipment Maintenance: Coolers, Ice Machines, Shelving Units, Draft Lines, ETC.
- Monthly and Weekly deep cleaning for the bar.
- Day-to-day task lists for the Bartenders.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $58,000.00 per year
