As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating machines in a safe, competent, efficient, and productive manner to produce high-quality nonwoven fabrics that provide wellness and protection to people's lives.
Responsibilities:
- Operate machines in a safe, competent, efficient, and productive manner
- Maintain quality standards for the product
- Keep the machine and surrounding area clean
- Follow instructions from the team lead
- Become proficient in operating the Mainline and the Slitter machines
- Complete all required training and assessments within 12 months
- To train or assist in any training for new/ transferred employees
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment
- Previous manufacturing/distribution center/industrial experience preferred
- Proven ability for applied learning
- Good communication skills
- Prior computer experience preferred
Work Environment:
- Noisy environment requiring hearing protection
- Manufacturing environment requiring safety shoes and safety glasses
- Other PPE required based upon specific tasks
Physical Requirements:
- Walk/stand 100% of time during a 12-hour shift
- Occasional stooping, bending, kneeling, and squatting throughout shift
- Occasional climbing and reaching into machines to fix jams
- Frequent lifting and overhead reaching during shift
- Frequent pushing and pulling with arms and legs throughout shift, including materials requiring up to 75lbs of force to maneuver
- Frequent lifting or carrying up to 50lbs
- Constant use of hands and occasional use of foot control
- Constant light and firm grasping with hands throughout shift
- Operation of cranes, hoists, hand trucks, and roll manipulators throughout shift
- Daily sweeping and organizing floor and work area
- Occasional climbing of steps
- Balance required for some tasks

- Shift differential pay of $2.00/hour for hours worked between 9:00pm-9:00am
