Lake Jem Farms is a leading sod farm and installation company serving customers throughout Florida.
Position Overview:
We’re looking for a dependable Retail Clerk to assist with front counter and yard operations. This position is part-time, with the possibility of full-time hours as needed based on business demand. The ideal candidate enjoys both customer service and hands-on outdoor work.
Responsibilities:
- Answer phone calls and assist customers with product questions and orders
- Create and process sales orders accurately in our system
- Communicate with dispatch to schedule deliveries efficiently
- Greet and assist walk-in customers at the farm
- Load sod pallets safely and efficiently for customer pickups
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Support the team with other daily tasks as needed
Schedule:
- Monday–Friday: 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM
- Saturday availability as needed
Qualifications:
- Prior customer service or retail experience preferred
- Knowledge of sod, landscaping, or related outdoor products preferred
- Strong communication and multitasking skills
- Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs and work outdoors as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of sod or landscaping
- Forklift certification is a plus
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.00 per hour
