Housekeeping Supervisor
We are looking for a hands-on Housekeeping Supervisor who can help lead, organize, and support our housekeeping department in a busy extended-stay hotel environment.
This is not a “walk around with a clipboard” supervisor role. The right person will be expected to lead the team while also jumping in wherever the department needs help most. Some days that may mean inspecting rooms and organizing the board. Other days it may mean cleaning rooms, stripping rooms, assisting with laundry, helping with houseperson duties, stocking carts, or supporting the team directly on the floor.
We need someone who is organized, calm under pressure, comfortable giving direction, and willing to be part of the work — not just oversee it.
Responsibilities
- Help organize daily housekeeping assignments, including rooms, stayovers, laundry, houseperson duties, and special projects.
- Inspect guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness and brand standards are being met.
- Support room attendants, laundry attendants, and housepersons by giving clear direction and helping remove obstacles.
- Jump in to clean rooms, strip rooms, assist with laundry, stock carts, or complete other housekeeping duties as business needs require.
- Communicate clearly with the Front Desk and management about room status, priorities, guest needs, and any delays.
- Help train new housekeeping team members on procedures, room standards, and daily expectations.
- Follow up on maintenance issues, missing items, supply needs, and room readiness concerns.
- Help maintain a calm, organized, and productive work environment, especially on busy days.
- Use hotel systems, apps, checklists, and basic computer tools to track work, communicate updates, and complete required tasks.
- Lead by example through professionalism, teamwork, consistency, and accountability.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of hotel housekeeping experience required.
- At least 6 months of leadership, supervisor, trainer, inspector, or team lead experience strongly preferred.
- Bilingual English/Spanish required.
- Must be comfortable using apps, mobile devices, and basic computer systems.
- Must be able to inspect rooms carefully and identify cleanliness, maintenance, and brand-standard issues.
- Must be willing and able to perform room attendant, laundry, and houseperson duties as needed.
- Must be organized and able to prioritize tasks during busy or stressful situations.
- Must be able to communicate clearly and respectfully with team members, management, and other departments.
- Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work weekends and holidays as needed.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, lift, push, pull, and perform physical housekeeping duties throughout the shift.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is someone who understands that housekeeping leadership is about more than inspecting rooms. We need someone who can see the full operation, organize the team, communicate priorities, and step in wherever help is needed.
This person should be comfortable leading from the floor, not from the sidelines. They should be able to hold standards while also supporting the team, solving problems, and keeping the day moving.
If you are dependable, organized, hands-on, and ready to help lead a housekeeping team in a real working hotel environment, we encourage you to apply.
