Full-Time Night Manager – Mortuary Transport & Dispatch
Location: Southeast Michigan – Ideal living areas include Westland, Livonia, Canton, Northville, Novi, or surrounding communities.

About Us
Silvey’s Metro Removal Service is a tight-knit, growing team proudly serving funeral homes, medical examiners, organ donation organizations, universities, and families across Southeast Michigan during one of life’s most difficult moments: the passing of a loved one.
As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a dependable and confident Night Manager who can help lead our overnight operations while still working alongside the transport team.
Now Hiring: Full-Time Night Manager
This is a working manager position that combines mortuary transportation, client communication, and team dispatching.
Our managers are transport drivers with the added responsibility of answering incoming calls from our clients, coordinating and dispatching team members, and assigning themselves to transport calls as needed.
You won’t be sitting in an office managing from a desk. You’ll work from home, manage the overnight phone, and respond directly to calls alongside your team.
Schedule: Wednesday–Sunday | Five nights per weekHours: 6:00 PM–6:00 AMBase of Operations: Work from home – a company van is provided and kept at your home or shared with another team member near you.
Facility Access: 20519 Joy Rd, Detroit, MI 48228 – for supplies, cold storage, and occasionally coming in to chat it up with me.
What You’ll Do
- Answer incoming transport calls from our clients, including funeral homes, medical examiners, organ donation organizations, universities, and other partners
- Dispatch and coordinate overnight team members based on location, availability, and call needs
- Assign yourself to transport calls and work alongside your team
- Drive a company van to removals and transport calls throughout Southeast Michigan
- Communicate professionally and compassionately with families during sensitive situations
- Maintain communication with clients and provide updates when needed
- Help keep overnight operations organized, responsive, and running smoothly
- Maintain readiness during your on-call shift and be fully dressed and en route within 5–15 minutes when responding to a call
- Assist with Medical Examiner division calls and other specialized transports as needed
