Southeastern Cable Contractors, Inc., a full-service telecommunications construction company, is hiring an experienced Administrative Assistant at our corporate headquarters in Southport, NC. Candidates should have extensive administrative experience with keen attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Perform data entry tasks and maintain accurate records
- Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled report
- Create and maintain project files & associated support documentation
- Assist regional Lead Administrators with their accounts receivable billing
- Process subcontractor invoices for payroll prep
- Facilitate communication between different teams involved in the construction process
- Maintain an environment that encourages open communication, sharing ideas & best practices, while building strong cross-functional relationships
- Translate fiber splicing details from corresponding photos, entering that data into Excel Workbooks
- Monitor emails from our customers to determine & record jobs in Smartsheet, then communicate the info to the manager of that market area
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Candidate should be well-organized, proactive, resourceful, flexible, & able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Customer-centric mindset
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy & quality of work
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate via oral & written interactions with excellent proofreading skills
- Knowledge of office management procedures and basic accounting principles
- Strong math and computation skills
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with spreadsheets, email & word processing programs
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude
- Ability to prioritize the most important duties while multitasking
Education & Experience:
- Previous experience as an Office/ Administrative Assistant, Clerk, Payroll Assistant or directly related level of responsibilities
- Associate’s degree, preferred
- Telecommunications Experience is preferred, not required
- Proficient computer literacy, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
- Experience with Smartsheet preferred
