Summary:
The Associate Chaplain will provide and coordinate pastoral and spiritual care services to the patients, family members, and staff. They will serve as an advocate to assist families and patients as needed. This individual will serve as a support person for staff members as needed and conduct or coordinate special or regular chapel services as needed. The Associate Chaplain will participate in Critical Incident Stress Debriefing for hospital staff. Additionally, the Associate Chaplain may participate in orientation of chaplains and Spiritual Health Volunteers; along with expectation of participation in ongoing meetings regarding Spiritual Health Services. The Associate Chaplain should be flexible with work schedule, able to serve on call shifts, and able to transfer from one facility to the other.
Requirements:
Master’s degree in Divinity or graduate from seminary or theological school. Completed at least two units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE). Must have a minimum of two years of ministerial experience.
Licenses and Certifications:
Valid and active Board-Certified Chaplain (BCC) by the Association of Professional Chaplains. Must be eligible at hiring and attain board certification within three years of hire date.
